Matematik i Måneby
Matematik i Måneby is a Danish maths adventure game, released on CD-ROM by Bitfrost Interactive in 2005. At maaneby.dk it can be played in the browser again, with no installation and no CD-ROM, with permission from Bitfrost Interactive.

The game
The game was created by Bitfrost Interactive and built in Macromedia Director, programmed in Director's own language, Lingo. Players choose a grade from 1st to 6th. Adobe discontinued Director and the Shockwave player, and the technology no longer exists in modern operating systems and browsers.
Matematik i Måneby © Bitfrost Interactive (2005). The site is a private, non-commercial preservation project, built and maintained by Rasmus K. Damgaard. Permission comes from one of Bitfrost Interactive's founders and can be withdrawn.
The engine
The game runs as released, on dirplayer-rs, an open source Shockwave emulator written in Rust and compiled to WebAssembly. Running it surfaced bugs in the emulator, and the fixes have been sent back upstream so other Director titles benefit too.

In the browser
The game saves in the browser, so players can continue where they left off. It was made for mouse and keyboard and plays best on a computer, but on phones and tablets a tap on the name field opens the on-screen keyboard. The few changes from the original are listed on maaneby.dk.
